What about COVID-19 and other viruses?
Frankie’s World Medical Day Care Center follows all best-practice precautions to keep our enrolled children safe from RSV, seasonal flu, and the COVID-19 virus, including cleaning protocols. In May of 2021 we were one of the very first health care organizations in Philadelphia to mandate staff vaccinations. This policy helps us avoid sudden quarantine closures, fulfill our mission of being a reliable resource for families, and provide the safest possible care for our medically-fragile children.
What if my child has autism?
Autism Spectrum Disorder does not typically require skilled nursing care, and therefore does not normally qualify a child to be enrolled at Frankie's World. However, if your autistic child has specific medical needs that require nursing care, we may be able to accommodate your child at Frankie's World depending on the results of a behavioral assessment.
What if my insurance won’t cover the cost?
Frankie’s World will work with your physician and insurance company to cover the cost of care. However, in some cases children with special needs do not meet the standard of necessity set by insurance companies. Regardless, you may still want your child to be enrolled at Frankie’s World for the high quality of care and preschool education that we provide. For such cases, we offer a private pay option. Please call us at 215-763-0151 for details and pricing, and to arrange a tour.
