A Safe, Supportive Summer Camp for Children with Medical Needs

Frankie’s World provides skilled nursing care, structured activities, and a joyful summer experience for children with complex medical needs.

Finding the right summer program for a child with medical or developmental needs can feel overwhelming. You want your child to be safe. You want them to be understood. Most of all, you want them to experience joy, connection, and independence like any other child.

At Frankie’s World, medical care and childhood experiences happen together.

Our summer day camp in Philadelphia is designed for children ages 5 to 12 with complex medical needs. With licensed nurses on site and individualized care plans, children are supported throughout the day while fully participating in activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social connection.

Each day includes STEM-based learning activities, small group engagement, and enrichment guests, all thoughtfully designed to meet children where they are and help them grow with confidence.

This is a place where your child is not set apart because of their needs, but supported through them so they can fully experience summer.

Cost and Coverage

What does it cost for my child to attend summer camp at Frankie’s World?

Frankie’s World is a medical day care program, and services are completely covered by insurance and private donations for eligible children. Our team will work with you to understand your child’s eligibility and guide you through the application process.

You might be wondering if this is the right fit for your child

Choosing a summer program for a child with medical or developmental needs comes with important questions. You want to feel confident that your child will be safe, understood, and able to fully participate.

Will my child be safe?

At Frankie’s World, licensed nurses are on site throughout the day, and each child has an individualized care plan. Medical needs are supported as part of the daily routine, so care is consistent, responsive, and built into every part of the day.

Will staff understand my child’s needs?

Our team is experienced in working with children with complex medical and developmental needs. We take time to understand each child’s routines, communication style, and preferences so they are supported in a way that feels familiar and comfortable.

Will my child be included?

Children are not separated from activities because of their needs. With the right supports in place, they are able to participate in STEM learning, group activities, and enrichment experiences alongside their peers.

What if my child needs breaks or extra support?

We meet children where they are. Whether a child needs time to rest, additional assistance, or a different pace, our team adjusts the day to support their comfort and engagement. Our goal is to create an environment where your child feels safe, supported, and able to experience summer in a way that works for them.
