About Summer Camp
Each summer, Frankie’s World offers a day camp for Philadelphia-area children ages 5-12 who need skilled nursing care. Children with complex medical needs are safely monitored by registered nurses and nurses aides while making friends and participating in STEM-based learning activities. Enrichment guests are scheduled throughout the summer, including traveling petting zoos, visiting musicians, jugglers, magicians, puppeteers and science shows.
Frankie’s World summer camp follows the Philadelphia School district calendar. In 2026, our camp runs from Monday, June 15 to Friday, August 21. Camp is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and each day we serve breakfast, lunch and a mid-afternoon snack. Transportation is available free of charge.
There is no charge to families for Frankie’s World summer camp. Cost are covered through medical insurance and private donations.
